ECMO Cart is solving problems with patient transfers from the operating room. As you know, there are many types of equipment that are required to maintain and monitor a patient on ECMO including, a centrifugal pump, an oxygen/air blender, an oxygenator and circuit, a venous saturation monitor, a heater/cooler, an activated clotting time (ACT) machine, as well as oxygen tanks.
Our medical grade ECMO cart is designed to hold Cardiopulmonary Support (CPS), Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), or Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS) equipment. After initiation and stabilization of ECMO, the patient is transported to the critical care unit (CCU). Potential problems are significantly decreased during patient transfer when utilizing ECMO Cart. ECMO Cart can assist in providing safety of the cannula, continuous monitoring of vital signs, and arterial and pulmonary pressures, and oxygenation.
